John Gorton was Prime Minister of Australia from 10 January 1968 – 10 March 1971.

After a brief temporary stint from John McEwen who was hastily sworn in when Harold Holt went missing, Gorton moved from the Senate to a lower House seat and was sworn is as Prime Minister three weeks later.
