Peter Kocan

Peter Raymond Kocan (born 4 May 1947) is an Australian author, playwright and poet. He attempted to assassinate federal Labor Opposition Leader Arthur Calwell in 1966.

Currently he's professor of English at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, after a brilliant literary career which started while he was an inmate at Morisset Psychiatric Hospital, at southern Lake Macquarie, NSW
