Craig Baumann

Former Liberal state member for Port Stephens, in New South Wales.  As a property developer his position as a local mayor and councillor was always a worry, but as a state MP, it was even worse.

He hid his donation from a property developer by giving his accountant a huge discount on the house his property development company was building for him, and so when the accountant paid close to the full amount, that payment was channeled into Baumann's election campaign (plus he paid no tax on it by understating revenue.

After ICAC he couldn't work out what he'd done wrong - he HAD apologised for laundering $100,000!!  Mike Baird asked for (and got) his resignation that afternoon.
